I moved to Deep Ellum to get a fresh start from my previous life. Several of my new friends from the area were in the street art/modern art scene back in 2008. Of course I wanted to try my hand at it as well, but it was not my creative outlet. So instead of putting stuff out that was not cool, I stopped trying to paint and focused on building a Digital Studio. I was recording, and burning DVD's for local poets, and started editing loops for a VJ. Still I wanted to take it further so I started learning how to animate in both 2D & 3D. Animation was really the turning point for me. It started out with that was all I did everyday after work. I quit drinking and my want to do something more grew. So I started messing around with Raspberry PI's . That lead to wanting to control lights, servos, and all that mechanical candy. I found a digital community and there is where I started hearing about 3D printing. I was hooked. I read everything I could on 3D printing and finally bought a printrbot Simple Kit 1405. My dad came over and helped me the first day, then I finished putting it together the next day and was printing shortly there after. After a year I upgraded to printrbot metal plus and well here I am today. I use several programs to get my end results, Blender, Adobe, Cura, Meshlab, SketchUp...
